Watch our installation video to follow the fitting process. The Hampton wall panelling kit consists of moulded rails and stiles that come in loose components, this open backed kit does not have a back panel and so the exposed parts of the wall are painted in the same colour as the kit and looks as if the whole wall is panelled. If the wall surface was very rough you could place an mdf sheet on the wall first and then place the kit in front but in most cases this is not needed. Each kit has 6 no. 115mm high legs to support the base rail if not using existing skirting board, 2no. 2.2m x 122mm horizonal rails (four 1.1 metre lengths jointed), 6no. 399mm x 110mm premachined stiles, 6 no. 114mm x 110mm premachined stiles and 1 no. 2.2m x 98mm mid rail (two 1.1 metre lengths jointed). These pieces are all moulded and when assembled form a panel, the material is 12 mm moisture resistant mdf, skirting board is not included, this kit can be placed on existing skirting or used with new skirting, the kits are primed white and sanded. The top and bottom rails have a 45 degree chamfered mould, the stiles are premachined to correspond with this and fit into place, to adjust the height of the stiles on site, lean the mitre saw over 45 degrees and cut at the required height. Top mouldings are sold separately.
